Dean M. Gloster has advised a variety of software, hardware, audio technology, real estate, Internet infrastructure, media, professional services and other companies in licensing, formation, funding, company acquisitions, asset acquisitions, sales, licensing, strategic alliances, joint ventures, and distribution and related contract issues. Mr. Gloster also has extensively advised early-stage businesses on formation, capitalization, finance, employment, and contracting. He has an international client base of entertainment software developer clients.
Mr. Gloster has also represented various interests in the bankruptcy cases of airlines, computer, biotechnology, consumer electronics, telecommunications, construction, energy, department store, restaurant, real estate, and financial services companies. Mr. Gloster’s cases have included those involving complicated intellectual property, environmental and fraud issues and some of the largest bankruptcies in Northern California. He has also been involved in the restructure and workout of real estate and asset-backed loans in California and other western states. He has extensive experience in lease assignments and workouts involving technology companies. Mr. Gloster is a frequent lecturer on topics of bankruptcy law, including intellectual property in bankruptcy cases and environmental issues in bankruptcy cases.
Mr. Gloster also heads the firm’s Bankruptcy and Creditors’ Rights team.
