Andrew W. Ingersoll, Associate
Andrew W. Ingersoll is an associate in the firm's Environmental Law Department, where he represents both compliance and litigation clients facing a wide range of environmental concerns related to natural and mineral resources, water rights, federal lands rights, toxic tort litigation, transfer of contaminated property, including cost-recovery and natural resource damages actions under CERCLA and other local, state and federal environmental status. His practice also involves assisting property owners and developers, including San Francisco-based housing developers and California-based wineries, navigate and comply with local, state and federal land use laws and regulations. An emerging solar energy developer is also among the clients he currently services in this regard.
Mr. Ingersoll is also a member of the business litigation practice, where his practice includes assisting clients with business disputes, intellectual property disputes, securities arbitration and construction disputes, including representation of an owner in the public construction contract arena regarding a multi-million dollar construction fraud dispute. Mr. Ingersoll has also represented clients involved in complex electronic discovery disputes and in non-party intervention proceedings to protect privileged and work product material from discovery.
Mr. Ingersoll is committed to the community through his provision of pro-bono assistance for indigent clients and local non-profits and through his past position as Chair of the Environment and Real Estate Section of the San Francisco Bar Association's Barrister's Club. He is also a member of the local chapter of the United States Green Building Council. Since 2003, Mr. Ingersoll has been a regular contributing author to the American Bar Association's, Section on Environment, Energy, and Resources Law, "Year In Review" publication: chapter on Superfund and Natural Resource Damages Litigation.
