John R. Epperson, Special Counsel

John R. Epperson is Special Counsel in the Environmental Law Department, specializing in environmental and occupational health and safety compliance counseling. His practice includes regulatory compliance and counseling in the areas of solid and hazardous waste, the Clean Water Act and the Clean Air Act, as well as federal and state OSHA and pipeline safety issues. He has experience with remediation of hazardous substances, contaminated groundwater and associated cost recovery. He has also assisted in the defense of OSHA citations, investigation of occupational accidents and response to whistleblower complaints under OSHA.  He is also a member of the firm's Product Law practice and has experience with California's Proposition 65.  Mr. Epperson has also assisted with due diligence for a variety of transactions, including acquisitions of companies and of assets.

Prior to entering law school, Mr. Epperson had over ten years of technical experience in radiation safety in the nuclear power industry.
