Farella Braun + Martel Partner Sandra Kearney Edwards Elected Executive Officer of San Francisco Chamber of Commerce

SAN FRANCISCO, Dec. 3, 2007 - Farella Braun + Martel Partner Sandra Kearney Edwards has been elected the new General Counsel and Secretary for the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce. 

The San Francisco Chamber of Commerce's mission is to attract, develop and retain business in San Francisco.  As an executive officer on its Board of Directors, Edwards will help set the strategic and financial direction for the organization.  The Board also serves as a sounding board for ideas and policies and reflects the thinking of a broad spectrum of businesses in San Francisco.

Edwards is an attorney in Farella Braun + Martel's Construction and Environmental Law practice groups and is chair of the Product Law practice.  She represents public and private owners, contractors, subcontractors and design professionals in private and public projects.  Edwards also works with corporate clients in a variety of environmental areas, including citizen suits, private attorneys general actions, and environmental matters involving FIFRA, RCRA, toxic torts and Proposition 65. 

In addition to her work with the Chamber, Edwards serves on the Farella Braun + Martel Advisory Board.  She previously served as Co-Chair of the ADR Subcommittee of the Environmental Litigation Committee (Section of Litigation) and currently serves as Co-Chair of the Joint CLE Program Planning Subcommittee of the Environmental Litigation Committee (Section of Litigation).  Edwards earned her J.D. from the University of San Francisco and her A.B. from Occidental College.
