Commercial Construction

Farella Braun + Martel's Construction Counseling & Dispute Resolution Group offers a full range of services to owners, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and design professionals in connection with all types of commercial projects, ranging from entertainment facilities and sports stadiums to manufacturing and demonstration facilities and multi-dwelling housing complexes.

Our attorneys are experienced in representing high-profile clients in construction matters relating to well-known landmarks and projects.  We successfully represented Sony Corporation of America regarding roughly $50 million in claims relating to the design and construction of the Sony Metreon in San Francisco.  Our construction attorneys represented the San Francisco Giants in connection with construction claims relating to their ballpark, AT&T Park (formerly Pacific Bell (Pac Bell Park)).  We have represented The Coca-Cola Company in construction disputes arising out of a syrup plant, UDV/NA, and the owner of Beaulieu Vineyards, with the design/build construction of a new barrel warehouse in Napa.  Our lawyers also represented Obayashi Corp., a large international Japanese contracting firm in a nearly $30 million dispute with Applied Materials arising from the construction of a chip-making plant.  In addition, we regularly represent clients, such as owner BRE Properties, designer DMJM, and owner Golden Gateway Center on construction-related matters and disputes arising from multi-unit dwelling complexes.
