Risk Management Consulting

The Insurance Coverage Group includes both lawyers and industry-credentialed risk management and underwriting consultants who are experts in risk management, risk financing, contract and lease renewal, exposure analysis, broker selection, market issues and insurance products.  Using this depth of knowledge and experience, we advise clients on issues concerning pollution legal liability, remediation cost caps, finite risk, consultants’ errors and omissions, and other insurance in connection with property transfers, base closures and other risks.  We also work with clients to improve their traditional and captive insurance programs, including concerns relating to products liability and directors' and officers' liability coverages.  Further, we have expertise in structuring insurance programs to cover development of historic structures, including buildings in the Financial District of San Francisco, and in designing, placing and handling claims involved in various owner-controlled insurance programs (OCIPs) for such clients as the Ports of various municipalities around the Bay Area.
